Michelangelo works to be displayed in the capital

Art lovers who are planning a stay in
London over the next few weeks will be among those who are able to see a
Michelangelo "masterpiece" displayed in the city.
Visitors to the capital between 18th February and 16th March will be able to see the Renaissance artist's
'The Dream' at the
Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House. The iconic venue, which is located on the
Strand in the heart of the city, is just a short taxi ride away from the
five star Connaught hotel leaving guests plenty of time for a
luxury afternoon tea in London before heading to the event.
As well as
The Dream, a number of other works are to be displayed including items on loan from a number of international collections. The exhibition is to display the painting alongside a collection of drawings, which were gifted by the artist to a young Roman nobleman named
Tommaso de' Cavalieri.
