Il Turco in Italia to be staged at ROH
Date: 03 Apr - 19 Apr 10
Event: Il Turco in Italia
Location: Royal Opera House
Il Turco in Italia, the classic opera set in 1960s Naples, is set to be performed in central London next month.
Directed by
Patrice Caurier and
Moshe Leiser, the production will run at the
Royal Opera House (ROH) between 3rd April and 19th April. The acclaimed central London venue is just a short taxi ride away from the
five star Connaught hotel, where guests can enjoy a luxury
afternoon tea in London before heading to the show.
The opera follows the story of a young
Turkish prince who falls in love with a bored housewife. A series of unintended consequences leaves the prince and a number of central characters "knotted" in comic confusion.
A stellar line-up of performers is set to be conducted by
Maurizio Benini in the production. The cast includes
Aleksandra Kura as Fiorilla, Colin Lee as Don Narciso, Alessandro Corbelli as Don Geronio and Ildebrando D'Arcangelo as Selma.
Visit the
Royal Opera House for the chance to see some classic Italian opera after you check in to a luxury suite at the
Connaught.
