Date: 09 Aug - 31 Dec 12
Event: Romantics
Location: Tate Britain

People planning a trip to London in the future will be able to visit a new exhibition at Tate Britain to explore the fascinating world of Romantic art. Romantics will open on 9th August and run until 31st December 2012, providing plenty of viewing opportunities for art enthusiasts.

The display spans nine rooms in the Clore gallery. Art lovers staying at the Connaught hotel in Mayfair can check in and have afternoon tea in London before visiting Tate Britain.

Various themes are explored in the exhibition, including the origins, inspirations and legacy of work by celebrated figures such as JMW Turner and William Blake. Major pieces by John Constable, Henry Fuseli and Samuel Palmer will also be on show.

Two rooms will focus on the lasting influence the Romantics have had on contemporary art, featuring work by the 20th century English artist Graham Sutherland, among others. Visitors can also head to Tate Britain from 5th October to see the 2010 Turner Prize show.

Explore the world of the Romantics during your stay at the five star Connaught hotel in London.
