Christmas at Kew

Follow the festive trail

With over a million lights casting a veil of magic over Kew Gardens, this is a family sight that sparks a genuine sense of wonder.

The Telegraph

The giant glasshouses and unique plant varieties at Kew Gardens have been mesmerising visitors for over 150 years. Recently though, the home of the world’s largest and most diverse botanical collection has been gaining a reputation for an awe-inspiring display of a different kind.

When Kew does Christmas, it is truly a sight to behold. Now in its seventh year, Kew Garden's signature event welcomes a new trail for 2019. Visitors follow the winding path through colour-changing vines and onto the illuminated Treetop Walkway before arriving at the Palm House Pond finale, where jets of light dance across the water to classic carols.

If you’ve never been to Kew before, there is no better time to discover this legendary London attraction than when the gardens are dressed in their Christmas finery. With dazzling lights, singing holly bushes, mulled wine and an open fire for toasting marshmallows: it doesn't get more festive than Christmas at Kew.
